Data center
Types of data centers
Datacenter covers four operating models. One company runs its own building, another rents a rack, another sells virtual capacity. Quotes cannot be compared until that split is written down.
Enterprise data center
One organization owns and operates the facility. Hardware, the on-call team and the power investment sit on that company's books. Control is high, and so are empty capacity and 24/7 staffing.
A server room under an office is the small version. Fire suppression, power reserve and multiple carriers are usually thinner than in a purpose-built facility.
Colocation data center
The operator owns the building's power, cooling and backbone. The customer owns the server. Several companies share the facility; cabinets or cages keep them apart.
DGN is this model. In its own building in Osmangazi, Bursa it offers shared U, 42U cabinets and caged space. The hardware stays yours. The building and backbone are DGN's.
Cloud and hyperscale
The operator also owns the servers and sells virtual CPU, RAM and disk. Hyperscale is that cloud model automated across very large campuses. The global cloud pages that rank for datacenter describe this class.
DGN Cloud is a configurable virtual server from the same Bursa facility. It is not a hyperscale campus. It fits short-lived or bursty work. A steady heavy load is usually more predictable on a dedicated server.
Hybrid layout
Sensitive or licensed workloads stay on colocation or dedicated gear. The variable part goes to cloud. Teams in Turkey that want hands-on access or a KVKK frame keep data in a domestic facility and split the application.
Reduce the decision to three lines: where the data sits, who owns the hardware, and who responds in an outage. See the Turkey and Bursa guides for location, and the pricing page for current packages.
Short answers
How is colocation different from an enterprise facility?
In an enterprise facility the building and the team are yours. In colocation the building, power and backbone belong to the operator, and the server stays yours.
Which type is DGN?
A data center that runs colocation, dedicated servers and caged space in its own building, and also offers cloud servers from that site. It is not a hyperscale cloud campus.
Can you run a hybrid setup?
Yes. Dedicated or colocation can sit next to DGN Cloud in the same Bursa facility.
