Core building blocks
IT gear alone is not enough. Uninterruptible power, cooling, physical security, fire suppression and internet backbone must work together. Weakness in any layer shows up as downtime or poor performance.
For enterprise workloads, whether the facility is in its own building, on-site response time and carrier diversity are also key differentiators.
Service models
In colocation you house your own servers in a cabinet. With a dedicated server you rent the hardware. Dedicated space lets you build a private cage or office footprint by the square meter.
Cloud/VPS delivers virtual capacity from the same facility with high flexibility but shared or quota-based resources. Pick the model for the workload.
